15 YARD

Our smallest size dumpster is the 15-yard roll-off dumpster. It measures 14 feet long, 5 feet tall, and 8 feet wide. It can hold about 5 to 7 pickup truck loads full of debris. This sized dumpster is great for smaller construction jobs, such as small home remodels or renovations. It is ideal for smaller driveways without much space to move around.

20 YARD

Our 20-yard roll-off dumpster measures 14 feet long, 6 feet tall, and 6 feet wide. It can hold about 7 to 9 pickup truck loads full of construction debris. This sized dumpster is great for shed renovations, large home remodeling projects, large home renovations, or small business renovations. It is ideal for driveways without much space to move around.

30 YARD

The 30-yard roll-off dumpster measures 22 feet long, 6 feet tall, and 6 feet wide. It can hold about 10 to 12 pickup truck loads full of construction debris. This sized dumpster is great for major construction projects, semi-large home projects, large-scale home remodeling, and landscaping.

40 YARD

Our largest size dumpster is the 40-yard roll-off dumpster. It measures 22 feet long, 8 feet tall, and 8 feet wide. This sized dumpster is great for large building remodeling and construction projects. It is reserved exclusively for commercial projects.

RESIDENTIAL VS. COMMERCIAL

Residential – When you want to do a home renovation either inside or outside, T&J can help. When renting a dumpster for your home, you will put in the waste on your own. When doing so, the best way to go about it is loading from the back and working your way up and out. However, home appliances and products can not go into our dumpsters.

Commercial – Does your company need a dumpster for construction debris for a new building project or a natural disaster cleanup? By offering different sizes of dumpsters, T&J is the perfect solution. Your employees would load the dumpster, but we still advise loading it from the bottom up and back to the front; it gives you more loading room.

Our portable restrooms

Rent a portable toilet for your next construction job. Having one (or more) of these temporary bathroom facilities allows your workers to have a safe, sanitary place to use the restroom at the worksite, allowing them to go to the bathroom and quickly get right back to work. Portable toilets are great for more than just the construction zone. Portable toilets have a wide variety of uses, including public and private events, festivals, school functions, parties, and construction jobs. Portable toilets are weather resistant and made of impervious materials designed to keep human waste sanitary and contained. Each facility can serve about 45 people before needing to be serviced. Multiple toilets can be rented. Product features include one single non-flushing toilet designed for one user at a time and a holding tank with liquid toilet sanitizer, non-slip floors, a locking door with close/ open indicator, wall mounted toilet paper dispenser, translucent ceiling for natural lighting, and ventilation vents. ADA compliant handicap accessible portable toilets have guard rails and extra space inside.

TOILET SIZES

T&J offers not only standard sizes portable toilets but also ADA-certified portable toilets. Standard toilets measure 48 inches long, 44 inches wide, and 88 inches tall, giving plenty of room to move around once inside. Our ADA toilets can be used for wheelchair-bound and elderly customers who need the extra support inside the bathroom, measuring 86 inches long, 67 inches wide, and 90 inches tall.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT WE OFFER

  • Hand-washing Stations – Now T&J offers hand washing stations along with portable toilets. These are usually used for more significant events like festivals and school fairs. Each station includes four hand-sanitizing dispensers or one sink with a soap dispenser.
  • Pump Trucks – If you rent numerous portable toilets from us and need a cleanout, no problem. We now have multiple pump trucks to flush out the waste contained within the portable toilets from use.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY PRICE, AND HOW TO AVOID ADDITIONAL FEES

With every rental, our price includes scheduling your rental and keeping track of your account status. You have to watch out for some things to avoid additional fees, and below are some examples of what to avoid.

  • If your dumpster goes over the agree and mentioned tonnage it could result in an additional fee.
  • If you were to cancel your order on the day of delivery, you will be charged.
  • Lastly, if you are needing extra time with your dumpster after the usual two-week rental a flat daily rate will be applied every day after the two weeks.

EQUIPMENT PLACEMENT

  • Portable Toilets – Our portalets do not require much space for placement, each portable toilet has a chemical for the waste as well. Placing them a walkable distance from your worksite is what we recommend and also on a flat stable surface.
  • Dumpsters – Measuring out a space that is big enough but close to the construction is ideal. Our 15 yard and 20 yard dumpsters measure 14 ft long, and our 30 yard and 40 yard dumpsters measure 22 ft long. Having the footprint measurements of the dumpster you’re looking to rent will give you the ideal amount of space needed to place your rental, and always factor a little extra room when scouting an area for placement.

FAqs

When should portable toilets be serviced?
  • Portable toilets are typically serviced once a week; however, our workers can service them more frequently for an additional cost.
When should dumpsters be swapped?
  • Dumpsters should be swapped before they become overfilled.
  • Keep an eye on the fill line and when debris gets close to the container’s brim, give us a call and let us know it is time for your rental dumpster to be swapped out. If debris is overflowing out of the dumpster, you have waited too long.
What dumpsters are good for construction?
  • Our most popular roll-off dumpster sizes for construction projects are the 20-yard and 30-yard roll-off dumpsters. Depending on which size project you are planning, these two popular sized roll-off dumpsters are perfect for holding wood, bricks, grave, roofing tiles, flooring materials, sheetrock, crown molding, doors, and more.
  • Customers find that the 20-yard roll-off can handle small construction projects without being more space than they need. It also fits nicely on smaller driveways.
  • If you are planning to do a small construction project, the 20-yard roll-off dumpster might just be the right size for you!
  • Customers who use the 30-yard roll-offs tend to need more space for their larger construction projects, but they do not need a commercial size 40-yard roll-off dumpster.
  • Do you have a large construction project coming up? The 30-yard roll-off may be just what you need!
How should I measure my worksite?
  • Product renters need to clear off a hard, flat surface large enough for at least the footprint of the product they are renting. This must be done ahead of time.
  • To ensure that there is enough space for the size dumpster you are renting, we suggest you measure your work site before making the reservation. Nothing is worse than having your product arrive and there is not enough space to place it.
  • Footprint sizes
  • Our 15-yard and 20-yard roll-off dumpsters have 14 feet by 8 feet footprints. They will need at least this much available space.
  • Our 30-yard and 40-yard roll-off dumpsters have 22 feet by 8 feet footprints. They will need at least this much available space. Because of the way workers unload the 40-yard roll-off onto the worksite, we suggest customers clear off at least twice this much.
  • Don’t forget to clear off the space leading up to where the dumpster will be placed, as well!
  • Most of our clients use a tape measure to measure out the space for a dumpster on the worksite
Weight Distribution and Dumpsters
  • Customers should always evenly distribute the weight of the debris they are loading into the roll-off dumpster.
  • Debris can be loaded in whichever way it fits. It can be walked in through the door or tossed over the sides. Just make sure to distribute the items throughout!
  • Why?
  • Uneven distribution of weight inside the roll-off dumpster is a safety issue. Distributing the weight helps ensure drivers taking debris-filled dumpsters to the landfill do not turn over when making sharp turns in the route.
How do I open a roll-off dumpster?
  • Roll-off dumpsters can be easily opened in three simple steps, depending on which type of lock your dumpster uses.
  • Latch Lock
  • Step 1:  Unhook the latch safety pin and remove the safety chain.
  • Step 2:  Raise the lever and open the door.
  • Step 3:  Attach the safety chain to the other side of the roll-off dumpster and secure the chain to the door.
  • Ratchet Style Lock
  • Step 1:  Unhook the safety chain and flip the ratchet’s switch.
  • Step 2:  Loosen the ratchet and detach the chain.
  • Step 3:  Pull the door open and use the safety chain to secure the door to the other side of the dumpster.
How to prevent a dumpster fire?
  • Here are some simple ways you can help prevent a dumpster fire from igniting.
  • Prohibit workers from smoking near the dumpster.
  • Place signs saying “no flammable items” near the dumpster.
  • Talk with your workers about what items, such as explosives, cannot be placed in the dumpster.
  • Make a plan for handling flammable waste if, and when, encountered.
  • Keep cigarette buds and ash away from the dumpster.
  • Plan to put your dumpster away from buildings or structures where fire could easily spread.
  • Dumpster fires are not common, but they can happen. If a dumpster fire does ignite, it is important to know what to do. Please call 911. Do not attempt to handle the dumpster fire yourself. Let the professionals put it out for you.
Things to be wary of when you rent
  • Not all debris can be safely disposed of together. Only construction debris should be placed inside of the roll-off dumpster you are renting. Hazardous and bulky items are prohibited.
  • Never place prohibited items inside of the roll-off dumpster. Prohibited items include tires, liquid paint, paint cans, fluorescent lights, propane tanks, medical waste, animal parts, mattresses, box springs, electronics, televisions, explosives, flammable items, pesticides, aerosol cans, anti-freeze, car fluids, oils, gasoline, batteries, and herbicides.
  • Attempting to dispose of prohibited items inside of the roll-off dumpster will result in an added fee.
